About the author

Liu Cixin, born in Henan and raised in Shanxi, is a senior engineer, a member of the Chinese Writers Association, a member of the Chinese Science Writers Association, a representative figure of Chinese science fiction writers, and a winner of the Hugo Award, a world science fiction award in Asia.
