This story is about me, Win Chaicana Yatravekhee, a night shift motorcycle taxi. My night shift job always led me to get myself involved with many things: a headless man and a multi-armed creature, to name a few. But it's not that big of a deal because for me, not being picky about jobs means not being in poverty, right?  From making a delivery to looking for a monster, this taxi rider can do anything you request. Just hop on the back of my motorbike, I'll be happy to know everyone and also whatever it is standing quietly behind you.

          The Orange Vest Number One is a young adult fiction that blends mystery/horror with the slice-of-life genre. The book features horror stories narrated by the protagonist who nonchalantly perceives each paranormal event as part of his ordinary existence, downplaying its horror element. Set in the suburban landscapes of Thailand, the eerie backdrop immerses readers in the diverse lives of its people: a convenience store retailer selling peculiar wares, a street vendor practicing exorcism and a barber providing services exclusively to the dead. The book features illustrations drawn by the author, aiming to vividly ignite readers' imaginations.

          The author's primary aim in writing this book is to spotlight the stories of marginalized individuals in Thailand whose identities are often overlooked or absent in mainstream media and pop culture. Moreover, the characters in The Orange Vest Number One were created to be friendly, approachable, and slightly humorous to hold a space in the hearts of young readers.
