The Chommanard Women’s Literary Award, celebrates outstanding female literary talent from ASEAN, China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

Awards & Opportunities

Grand Prize

500,000 THB (approximately 15,000 USD) will be awarded to one outstanding female author among all submissions.

Country Winner Awards

One author may be selected as the Country Winner from the shortlist of each eligible country, only if the jury agrees the work meets the award’s standards. Country Winners will receive a monetary award of 40,000 THB (approximately 1,200 USD)

Judges’ Decision

All decisions by the judges are final and binding.

Translation Opportunity

Winning titles will be considered for Thai translation, subject to mutual agreement on terms, including royalties, contract conditions, and a five-year rights agreement with the host, who holds the first option on Thai publication rights. For titles that the jury or editor find especially suitable for publication in Thai, whether preselected or chosen as editor’s choice, the host will support them by assisting in connecting with other potential publishers through our literary agency, Elite Creative. This initiative is designed to broaden opportunities for winning and selected titles, ensuring their greater visibility and accessibility to Thai readers.
